Confirmation

Todays doctors visit confirmed my diagnosis and I am now an official diabetic. I have been borderline for a number of years, but in the last few weeks I've tipped over the line. I noticed the increased thirst, urination and fatigue the last month and was pretty sure that was what was happening. The whole battery of tests they gave me last week confirmed this. I wonder if the outcome of the tests would have been different if I was allowed to study? The positive news is for now we are going to work on controlling it with oral medication and doing a monitoring process with food intake every 3 hours. No insulin needed yet. Return visit in 4 weeks.

The rest of the afternoon will be spent studying the 5 pounds of literature they gave and probably taking a nap, But at least now I've got an excuse to be tired. Not to worry, none of this nonsense is going to get in the way of enjoying the good life.

  1. John maybe the use of a bicycle and less Carbohydrates might just tip the scale away from the Diabetes. Kathy has the oral meds to help her through and she still continues enjoying the goodlife.

    It's about time.
