More rain

This morning has brought more rain to our little community, but the temperatures have climbed out of the 50's so things are looking up. We do have entertainment scheduled for tonight in the form of Laughing Bird. Don't ask me what they are all about. Even after looking at their website I'm not sure what we have here. I guess I'll have to check it out tonight.

One thing with the weather we've had is that it left me with too much time on my hands. I used all that time on the internet and found out that I needed a new camera. Actually it's a camera that hasn't even been released by Canon yet, but I have one pre-ordered.

What attracted me to this camera was the fact that it has an optical viewfinder, a rarity in todays cameras. I'm just old fashioned enough to appreciate this feature. I find the LCD screen cameras useless outdoors in the sunlight, which is where most of my pictures are taken. Now all we have to do is wait until Canon releases it so Amazon can ship it. Click the link above to see all the features this camera has.

The sun just came out so it is time to hit the outdoors to enjoy the good life.

  1. You must really have that camera on the brain. The link for Laughing Bird also goes to the camera site on Amazon!! See I do go to your links lol! But I enjoyed looking at the camera. I too like an optical viewfinder for shooting in bright sunshine. That looks like a great little camera. Enjoy.

  2. Canon makes a great camera. I take most of my pictures with a canon power shot. I have the 10X They have a 12x but I guess I haven't been all that cause I asked Santa for one but didn't get it.

  4. My other Canon is a 35X zoom model. I also have a 4X which is getting old, thus the new purchase. I can't speak for my you didn't get the Camera you asked for, but way down deep inside I think you know.

  5. I'm surprised you got another camera already. After your great review of the Canon SX30IS I bought one for our trip last year and it did great, and still does great. What does this Canon have that the 30IS doesn't have? It looks like the A1300IS has a lot fewer features.

    1. Kenny, this is an addition too camera. In addition too the SX30IS I have always carried a Powershot A610 Point n Shoot camera. It is getting old and needs replacing so this is my new choice. A lot easier to carry than the SX30IS.
