More chores

No burst of energy appeared yesterday so this morning it was necessary to at least begin the chores. This morning was the dreaded laundry day and I wasn't sure the drying would get done because we were in heavy pea-soup fog this morning and the humidity was sky high. I went on and started and by the time the driers were needed the sun had come out and the humidity had dropped. While waiting for the drying I was standing outside enjoying the day and I must have been standing way to still because the hawks started sizing me up for lunch.

The only project that is left is the airing of the tires and this needs to be done in the morning when the temperatures are cooler, so I have just given myself the rest of the day off.

We did have a group of about 6 trailers arrive last night in preparation of the hunting season here in Brooks county They tell me this is a big hinting area, but I have no idea for what.

Now that I'm off for the rest of the afternoon all that is left is to find a way to enjoy the good life.

  1. As long as it is just hawks and not vultures sizing you up, you'll be okay!!

  2. Once they sized up the age of the meal they moved on.

  3. Hey, you have a great boss to give you the rest of the day off like that! If you can stand still like that more often, those hawks might just come down and land on your shoulders, then you'll really be "one with nature".

  4. Russ, that might be a bit closer to nature than I want to be. Your right thought the boss is great, just my humble opinion.

  5. I guess you and I decided was a do to do something, But you had the dreaded laundry day I think that was worse than my chore.
Watch out for those dirty birds they can drop some really dirty stuff on you and then you would have more laundry. YUCK!

  7. Glad you got the laundry out of the way.

Just learned something new, I had no idea tires should be aired in the morning.

  8. I took hawk pics today too, but forgot to edit them. ha! One time a friend & myself were sitting outside at a car repair shop. We were there for several hours. I looked up & the vultures were circling. I asked her just how long had we been there???

  9. MsBelinda and TexCyn thanks for stopping by today.

Tires should be aired when they are cold and you will get a truer pressure if you do the airing in the morning before the sun starts heating the tires.

  10. Air tires in the morning, walk the dog in the afternoon. Go to bed early in the evening. That makes for a pretty full day, don't ya' think?
