Road trip

Today's road trip started with a night of pre-trip panic. Last night while getting things ready the electric steps hung up on the concrete patio and became stuck. I was able to free them by raising the jacks on the right side, but once freed the steps would only recede about half way up. I had visions of going down the road with the steps partially extended looking for an RV repair shop. Not the recommended way to travel. Somehow with the pressure off the steps reset themselves during the night and by this morning they were working just fine.

The trip to Wal-mart was uneventful other than the fact that the billfold sprang a leak at the register and emptied itself right there in front of everyone. Once back out in Mel the groceries were stored and every bit of refrigerator space disappeared. I have now arrived back in the park and reclaimed my spot although I have parked with a different orientation that should eliminate the step hangup problem.

Now that all this has been accomplished I have given myself the afternoon off, something you can do when you're self-unemployed. I chore for the rest of the day is just to enjoy the good life.

  1. I see we had a Walmart day. I have not had to wait in lines long at all. Not many people shopping. Of course I sure am not complaining.
Glad the steps are OK that would be a bummer.

  3. Whew, glad the steps are ok! MOney fell out of my hand at TAco Bell's drive through yesterday, I had to jump out of the van & run to grab it! Well as best as I could kinda one footed ;-)

  4. TexCyn, I expect your one-footed chase for the buck might have been interesting to watch. I just read you blog tonight and chuckled at you mention of step problems the same day I had step problems.

Doesn't sound like much of a "chore", good for you!
