Elvis has left

Elvis has left the building and I'm starting to think the sun has left the solar system, because from where I'm sitting there is no sign of it. We have warmed a bit and instead of mid 50's we are  now in the mid 60's so there is hope.  The weather man has informed us the tomorrow, at least for part of the day, the big ball of fire will return to the sky to enlighten us. No matter what happens tomorrow, I will be making a trip to Wal-mart to restock the pantry. We have reached the critical stage on food supplies and the leather in the couch doesn't look that tasty. I do have a can of soup for today and a couple of other things lurking in the back of the cabinet and available, so we haven't reached the Donner Party stage, yet.

There were good results yesterday for Indiana basketball and today the Bronco's will be entertaining me so I should be able to withstand this last sunless day while enjoying the good life.

  1. If your groceries get too low just have a neighbor for dinner...

  2. Well at least you won't need a care package. :) I would go to the store just to get out for awhile if I didn't need anything.
    We need some sun soon!
    You post was funny.

  3. Not having a toad, heading for the store is a major undertaking, having to store everything, pulling in the slides and disconnecting the utilities. It would be easier if things were dry.

Thanks for stopping by Jo and Donna K, it's always nice to have you visit.

  4. I did not realize you did not have a tow vehicle. Yeah, in that case it would be a lot of trouble to go to the store.

  5. It's something I've grown used to and it's a lot easier in a Class C motorhome than a travel trailer. Thanks for dropping by MsBelinda.

  6. The sun came out here today, so maybe you'll get some tomorrow too. Are there any HEB's in your area? Do you know about the freshness guarantee of theirs? If you can find one, hit GO! If you can find outdated products & find the same products fresh, the fresh ones are free! I heard that Whole Foods do the same as they are owned by HEB, but I won't promise that. I know HEB does it though because I got some freebies today! Usually good deals on the freebies in the meat & gourmet cheeses.

  7. TnT, you are only 80 miles south of me and we have been enjoying the same weather. Today looks a little better.

Which makes for a VERY good time to also fill your propane tank. Your previous comment about propane not being delivered to the RV Park left me somewhat puzzled, very few do. So you fill up when you go shopping. DUH
