Better day

Last night at 3:30 am I was awaken by a machine gun like sneezing attack, one sneeze after another until it finally woke me up. Once up I did the only reasonable thing which was to fix a Dr. Pepper and go to the computer to check the morning news. After the sneezing stopped I briefly considered doing the laundry that needed to be done today. Reality quickly set in and it was decided to wait until the sun was up. Besides at 3:30 it was still raining, which it did most of the night. A further spurt of reality and I decided on returning to bed to finish what I had started 4 hours earlier.

The 2nd time I woke up at 7:30 am we were still overcast, but it had stopped raining so I gathered up the laundry and off I went to the laundry room. Sometime between the washer and the drier the sky cleared and out popped the sun. We are now enjoying a 65 degree day in bright sunshine. Finally.

Since the weather has been so unpredictable there is nothing on the schedule for the day. It really doesn't matter though because we always manage to enjoy the good life in my world.

  1. I literally popped out of bed at 3:17! One God awful wind nearly ripped my slide toppers to shreds. Not once did I consider doing laundry! :)

  2. I often wake up at night but I have to admit, I have never had a Dr. Pepper or entertained thoughts of starting on the laundry!! Good choice to go back to bed.

  6. I am a night owl and back when I lived by myself it was not unheard of for me to do laundry at 3:00 or 4:00 a.m. Specially during very cold nights to keep the pipes from freezing in the garage.

Of course back then I had a dryer which helped the garage stay warm. At mom's we only have a clothesline so it is a whole different set of circumstances.
