Today is a scary day as Halloween should be. For me it was particularly scary because it was laundry day. After putting the laundry in the machine it was time to walk the park. When I got close to the butterfly garden I noticed it was beginning to fill up with residents on their southward migration. I'll have to bring Mr. Canon II over for some close ups. I did take some pictures with Mr. Canon I and if you look closely there is a butterfly in each picture.
After I returned to the laundry room there were two new folks that had arrived with the same idea in mind as I had. One was from the Joplin Missouri area and the other from just north of Des Moines Iowa. We had an nice chat before my laundry was done and I headed back to Mel for a hanging and folding session. It looks like the rest of the day will be spent just enjoying the good life.
Several of the butterflies look like gulf fritillaries. :)
ReplyDeleteJudy, you are probably right. With my vast knowledge of flora and fauna you may feel free to call them whatever you desire without fear of being corrected by me.
ReplyDeleteLaundry yes scary.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers look like some I took the other day. I guess desert is desert but at least we get flowers in the winter.
Jo, you are so right some flowers and color during the winter and that helps the mood.
