The first thing of note this morning is that if you'll look to the bottom of the page you will see that the visitor counter rolled over 100,000 views yesterday. To me that is unbelievable for something that was started with the idea of letting family and friends know where I was and has turned into so much more. Through the blog I have made many new friends and I'm so grateful to all of you that are along for the journey.
The cleanup inside of Mel has been completed and my energy has been exhausted. I am ready to get on with something else. I do think the next time I do serious cleaning it will be a lot easier now that I have stopped smoking. There was still a lot of nicotine film to remove this time that I won't have to deal with next time I lose control and decide to do massive cleaning.
Today I am in the package receiving mode. When I travel in the summer most purchases are held for fear they won't be delivered until I have moved on. So, when I arrive at my winter home it's time to place orders. I am currently waiting for some clothes, a new GPS and a new mattress for Mel. Some of the clothing arrived yesterday and we anticipate the rest of the orders in the next few days. It's just like Christmas around here.
Today we will also spend some time enjoying the good life.
Congratulations on quit smoking. Proud of you. I quit when I was 32. Best thing I could have done for my lungs.
ReplyDeleteThanks Gypsy, Almost 50 years smoking before I finally got wise...slow learner.
ReplyDeleteFrom your 100,156 hit and fellow non smoking buddy, congratulations Shoeless! Damn, gotta go, your Cards have the tying run at the plate in the bottom of the 8th. :)

Hope all you deliveries are on time. Enjoy them and a well deserved rest.

Baseball games just don't get any better than that. Buckle up Shoeless, see ya tomorrow night.
ReplyDeleteWhatever happens tomorrow night it won't be a better game than tonight. Cardinal's have done so much more than expected. Good luck tomorrow night.
ReplyDeleteWow, congratulations on hitting the 100,000 mark.
ReplyDeleteCongrats as well on getting Mel all shiny and pretty, I am sure he also appreciates you having quit smoking.
I'm glad to be a part of your audience and I'm enjoying the ride.
ReplyDeleteI quit smoking a long time ago after being a three pack a day guy. Toughest thing I ever did and the best thing I ever did.
Question: If you are buying a new mattress for Mel where do you put it for him to bed down for the night? ;-)
Congratulations on the number of people you have entertained with your blog, and congratulations for quitting smoking. I'm an ex-smoker for about 12 years, now--often wonder why I ever started.
ReplyDeleteThanks to all for the nice comments.
