Finishing the trip here, after we left Sanderson we headed to Del Rio. Just east of Langtry and the home of Judge Roy Bean, the 'only law west of the Pecos', we crossed the Pecos River.
The Pecos has dug a pretty deep ditch at this point.
Another view from the bridge.
Looking south, at the end of the canyon wall that is the Rio Grande River and the border with Mexico.
This is the campground I spent two days in in the town of Del Rio.
Another view.
Looking toward the pool.
Any questions.
The view from the park entrance, looking at lake Amistad.
Looks like today will be spent enjoying the good life with one hand holding onto my hat.
I'd send you the rain I'm having today if I could. Wind is supposed to arrive over night. :)
ReplyDeleteJudy, I'm sure the rain would be welcomed around here.
ReplyDeleteYou would not have believed the haboob (dust storm) we had here in Lubbock yesterday. The day turned to night and the wind was 60 mph.
ReplyDeleteMichael, I saw some video from Lubbock, we only got half of it down here.
ReplyDeleteTo bad about the weather. Hope you get some rain soon and clean the air.
ReplyDeleteI love the sign.
