To travel or not?

Mel is packed and everything is in readiness for travel, but a glitch has reared it's ugly head. We have just begun picking up a 30 mph an hour winds that I would have to contend with if I headed out. According to the Weather Underground the wind should be diminishing this afternoon. My target destination for today was La Junta Colorado which is about 150 miles away. I think at this point I will sit the morning out and see if the wind decreases this afternoon.  I will head out later today if it does. If not another day of waiting for calmer winds will better serve me in enjoying the good life.

    Driving in the wind is not fun. Of course Mel is more aero than mine so you must have less sway but still better to sit tight.

    Mel does pretty well in the wind, but with no urgency in my travels I don't feel the need to push. I used to push on when I was an over the road truck driver, but those days are far in my past.
