This morning I got an early start and decided to head west on US 36. So I went back to Hannibal to pick up the highway after stopping by my former place of employment to say hi and bye to the folks there. Unfortunately they were having one of those marathon meetings that only state governments can have and I only got to see part of the staff. I'm sure once they find out I was there the pain of missing my visit will be difficult on them.
Speaking of pain I am enjoying a bit of it myself today, especially after driving a little over 250 miles with the back rubbing against the seat. I decided to stay here a couple of nights to get a bit more healing completed before venturing on towards the mountains.
Sitting here will let me better enjoy the good life.
Is that where you had surgery on your back? WOW driving that far must have been torture. Glad you are staying put for a few more days.
ReplyDeleteSurgery was in Hannibal, MO yesterday. I spent the night in Bowling Green, MO and traveled 280 miles today to Seneca. Resting tomorrow. Not enough discomfort yet to take any aspirin.
