A look to the south from the campground. The skies were the indicator the day wasn't going to be sun filled. If you look a the hill you can see that it is still trying to recover from a forest fire that swept through here 5 years ago.
Then it was on to the business district. None of which are doing any business.
This is the library which only does business only on Wednesday and not then if both books are checked out.
This is sheep country and they want everyone to know it. Dang sheepherders.
Probably quite a few more sheep than people here.
Then we got into the hotel district with its Wildhorse Saloon. I'm not sure if the Wildsheep Saloon would have done better, but this was certainly a failure.
This is the Wildhorse competition and it looks like they competed each other right out of business. Note the colored lights strung across the business district. They brought so much joy at Christmas they decided to leave them up year round. Next year they plan to plug them in.
The grain elevator.
And its twin across the street.
The entire town captured in one photograph.
And another look at the burned up hill.
After touring the town this morning an afternoon of rest and recuperation is in order. It is important to note that even in a small town one can enjoy the good life.
