Yesterday saw a mass exodus as all the poor working stiffs pulled out to return to the work a day world. It left quite a few holes in the park.
Which sort of surprised me. I would think a nice quite park like this would attract a lot of people for extended stays. The only noise around here is an occasional train on the tracks across the river and even they are relatively quiet. There is no whistle post on the other side of the river so all we hear is the deep rumble of the diesels as they pull the grade.
After the rain the other night the wild flowers made an appearance yesterday to enjoy the nice sunshine we have been having around here.
The whole field was covered with these little white flowers which shall go nameless. Today we will engage in a bit of maintenance with several chores planned for today and tomorrow in anticipation of getting back underway on Thursday. Of course we will be careful not to over do it so we have time to enjoy the good life.
