The pain I was expecting from yesterdays minor surgery never materialized so the only pain I experienced yesterday was that of watching the Cardinals attend a baseball game in their honor. It appears to me they need to order some new bats, the current ones don't seem to be working.
Today is going to be another uneventful day. With goop in my eye and a bandage on my arm this is going to be a day to sit and enjoy the arrival of the weekend warriors and their antics. For those of you not familiar with the weekend warrior, they are a completely different breed of RVer than the full-timer. They are bound by the need to bring all the comforts of home and then some with them. After getting situated in their site, which can be an adventure of it's own, it's time to get out the carpet, the grill, the patio lights, the toys for the kids, the toys for the adults, two or three coolers, the patio chairs and whatever else they felt was needed to enjoy the good life. Then they are exhausted to the point they collapse into the chairs to shout instructions to the kids about what they can't do. This goes on until Sunday, when they will reverse the process and head out and quite reigns in the RV park once more.
This afternoon will also be spent watching the thermometer push it's way to 100 and waiting for the Cardinal game, while enjoying the good life.
the adults shouting at the kids is better than the husband shouting at the wife trying to tell her how to get camp set up right. Have you ever seen that. That's a whole other story too!!! lol
ReplyDeleteGlad you caught your spot early!!!
or the wife, out of sight at the back of the trailer, frantically waving her arms as the husband backs over the picnic table. No end to the way people can entertain you.
