Today was a good day for travel in west Texas. No wind which is pretty unusual. We were on the road by 8 am drove to Van Horn for fuel and then it was on to the first challenge of the day, getting through El Paso traffic. Then it was smooth sailing across most of New Mexico. We crossed the continental divide and moved into the mountain time zone today. We have decided 350 miles is enough for the day and will bed down here for the night. Before stopping we fueled again. Total damage for the day $165.00.
All is well with Mel and the desert area was in bloom with wild flowers, so we are busy enjoying the good life.
