Saved the roses

Our efforts to save the roses has paid off. If you remember back in January, when we had the freeze warnings and Harley was still in the hospital, a group of us draped on Harley's rose bushes to protect them. Well the efforts paid off and their roses buses are in full bloom.
It's good to finally start seeing some color.

An interesting thing happened yesterday. I was talking with Roger after I returned from Laredo when JoAnn, the park manager, came by and said someone was looking for me. My thoughts immediately turned to the FBI, Border Patrol or IRS. It turned out to be none of these folks.  It was Barney, a fellow full-timer and blogger (Old Fat Man Adventures) that I have corresponded with for the last year. He was in the park searching out a location for his next adventure. By the time I got word that he was here he had made a reservation for Sunday and left the park to return home. I guess we will finally meet up Sunday when he comes back to spend a week.

Today is going to be a warm day with lots of sunshine. right now it's 78 and we are headed for 90. It's going to be a good day to visit and enjoy the good life.
