This mornings trip to Laredo went without a hitch. Mel and I left about 8:30 this morning with overcast skies, but there was no wind blowing. Just short of Laredo the Border Patrol had set up a checkpoint, but after the usual questions we were allowed on toward Laredo. The Border Patrol has a regular spot on the highway where they conduct spot checks. I have never been held up there for more than a few minutes. Then it was on to Wal-Mart where they allowed me to lighten my billfold considerably. The good thing is I have supplies that will last me for the rest of the month and possibly until I leave in April.
When I arrived back I worked up a sweat, that might have something to do with the temperature which has reached 86 degrees. All things went well and we are settled back into our spot.
The rest of the day will be spent enjoying the day and living the good life.
