Mel's shoe repair has been postponed until tomorrow. We woke up this morning with cooler temperatures and overnight rain that measured one half inch at Mel's weather station. Rather that have the tire guys work in the mud I decided it would be better if they waited until tomorrow when it's bright and sunny. The tire is off the ground thanks to the leveling jacks so no further damage should occur to the tire.
Last night Barney came by and we had a nice long visit comparing experiences we've had in our travels and in general solving most of the world problems.
Right now we are at 55 degrees and the day doesn't appear to be headed toward much better conditions. So I intend to do some reading until 5 o'clock when it will be time to head to the rec hall to swell the belly with some corned beef and cabbage. They were busy yesterday with preparations and they were back to work this morning, so if effort counts we should be in for some good eating this evening and good eating is just another way to enjoy the good life.
