Today's entertainment

This morning it's 72 degrees, but the wind has been blowing so activity has been limited. This mornings entertainment was provided by Larry. Larry grew up in New London Missouri and he has a very dry sense of humor. Today he decided to exercise his generator. The first problem he encountered was the fuel tank in his motorhome was below a quarter tank. The generator fuel hose is placed above the quarter full mark to prevent running the motorhome out of gas while running the generator. This problem was overcome by Larry's ingenuity when he grabbed the gas tank out of his boat and plugged it into his generator. The generator was started accompanied with a large cloud of black smoke, not surprising when using boat gas with oil in it. The upside is we won't have to worry about mosquitoes in the park for the next month. By this time a small crowd had gathered to enjoy the show. Larry then decided to start the motorhome and run it for awhile. Larry likes to do this once a year whether it needs it or not.

Larry's motorhome.
After running the motorhome and generator for 15 minutes it was time to shut down. The generator agreed and shut right down, however the motorhome seemed to have a mind of it's own. After Larry turned off the key and exited the motorhome it continued to run for better than a minute, ending with a loud backfire that had peopl from two rows away coming to see what happened.
This is Larry's ride, he will look you straight in the eyes and tell you he only has three payments of $19.95 left.

Larry and people like him are here to help us enjoy the good life.
