Yesterday afternoon was the first annual 4 Seasons dog show and it was a fun event to watch. Five dogs were entered from the park, even though there are many more dogs in the park who just didn't have the confidence needed to participate. A crowd of 30 people was on hand for the event and the judges did a masterful job of awarding prizes to all the participants so that no doggy feelings were hurt.
Some scenes from the show.
Some of the people enjoying the show.
Waiting for the show to begin.
Today it is bright and sunny with the temperature on the way to 75 so there will be plenty on time for visiting. Many of the people who would normally be heading across the border for weekend shopping are staying home this weekend. Wednesday a group was heading to the dentist in Guerrero and they were strongly advised not to go into Mexico because of trouble on the other side of the border. News is difficult to come by out of Mexico, but apparently the drug cartels are causing some troubles in the border towns with random shootings and some murders have been reported. Mexico is just not a safe place to be right now. It's nice that we are relatively safe on this side of the border and we can continue to enjoy the good life.
