A different day

Yesterday we didn't quite make the 100 degree mark, falling short at 98 degrees. Today is a different story, it is 71 degrees and trying to rain we are even hearing thunder, which is rare here. One thing I've noticed in my travels is that any part of the country can lay claim to the phrase ' if you don't like the weather wait a minute, it will change'. Zapata is not an exception to this rule.

Yesterday's excitement occurred when Annis knocked on my door to tell me I had a water leak and it was a gusher. I use a short flexible hose to connect the main to my pressure regulator and in yesterdays heat it gave way. I had water shooting 20 feet into the air. The water lines were rerun and all is well again.

Yesterdays other project was to help Gary and Pat get their VCR working. They recently replaced their TV and couldn't get the VCR to work. A few adjustments and they are in business, This will probably pay off later in the year when Gary cooks up some of his fresh fish, at least that's my hope.

Today will be spent attempting to keep dry while still enjoying the good life.
