With the coming of the winter Texans we also get to enjoy the migration of the butterflies. The winter Texans are arriving by the handful every day. The Yellow or Sulpfur butterflies have been arriving by the thousands in the last couple of days. On today's walk down to the lake the ground was covered with them as they stop to replenish themselves before resuming the southward migration. They are in a travel mode and were not willing to take time to stop and pose for pictures so I did what I could.
I also saw a mama and her brood out for a morning swim.
