Mel's shocked

For the first time in his life Mel has discovered winter like weather and he's not exactly happy about it. Last night the temperature dropped to 24 degrees here and was accompanied with drizzle, not a good combination. This morning we woke up and Mel was sparkling from nose to tail. It looked like the wax fairy had come during the night to brighten Mel up. Such was not the case and the bright shiny finish began to melt.

In so many ways this is just so wrong in this part of the country.

The ice begins to depart.

One precaution was taken last night and that was to pull in the slides so that ice didn't accumulate on the slide toppers. We had stowed the water hoses the other day, so frozen lines were not a problem. Other that that we fared pretty well. Today we are warming to 45 degrees, but we will still have a north wind at about 20 miles per hour and an overnight low in the upper 20's. The only one happy around here right now is the propane man.

Today''s activities will be restricted to all things indoors while trying to find a way to enjoy the good life.
