The summers travels.

Now that we are back in Zapata we can reflect on the many sites we saw this summer. We traveled over 6,200 miles touching down in 12 states and seeing many attractions along the way. I created a Google map of some of the things we saw along the way. Double clicking on the dots will give you more description.

Yesterday I received a welcome back gift from JoAnn. For those of you who don't know, JoAnn was the park manager under the previous administration and a good friend. She is here to clean out her mobile home to get it ready to sell to facilitate her move back to Nebraska. I am now the proud owner of a protective cover for my sewer connection and will be the envy of the neighborhood.

Mel is lonely right now. We are only the second arrivals on Winterway and it's a long way down to Pat and Gary's place at the other end of the street.
It won't be long though before the neighbors start arriving and the row fills up for the season. Pity the poor last arrival trying to squeeze into their place.

Now it's time to take a hike down to the lake and around the park to check things out and see whats new. Just part of enjoying the good life.
