The frustration mounts

I made the decision this morning that Mr. Acer needs to go back where it came from. I requested a return from Amazon and they are requiring that I contact Acer to see if they have a solution. So this afternoon I will be on the phone (to someplace in America, I hope) to see if they can come up with a solution. The computer seemed to be working fine until Microsoft downloaded 858 updates and then the problem repeated itself. Having been in the computer business for ten years I'm frustrated that I can't figure this problem out myself, but things have changed and of course the diagnostic tools I had are no longer effective. The way the processing speed is slowing down I suspect a bad CPU or RAM, but then again it could be a Windows problem. We'll just hae to wait and see.

One thing I do know is computer problems are not part of the good life.
