More of the heat

Again last night we were treated to heat lightning show for about four hours. There was no accompanying moisture so things have remained toasty here. I did get a couple of pictures at sunset last night as preparations were being made for the light show.

The skies looked menacing.

But except for large amounts of electricity they were empty.

Today's high is supposed to be 106 so after yesterdays 110 they are calling this a cool down. We are also the beneficiary of 20 to 30 mile and hour winds today, so not only do we have the heat of an oven we have the convenience of a convection oven. You can step outside and be cooked twice as fast as with a normal oven. I have decided indoors is the best course of action if one wants to enjoy the good life here.
