Today we are looking at overcast skies, but the temperature has already reached 70 degrees so there is little complaining. The sun is making an attempt to break through.
This morning the park was about half empty because today is the day for the annual golf tournament sponsored by the people in the park. This is a charity event and this years proceeds will go to Just for Kids, also sponsored by people in the park. All of the golfers and several people acting as judges, beverage providers and scorekeepers are at the course for most of the day.
Today is also the Iowa day dinner in the rec hall. Several different state groups have dinners for their residents to mingle with each other. This year the Missouri group decided we ate at enough different events so we passed on a Midwest dinner.
I took advantage of the lull in park activity and did a couple of loads of laundry this morning and I'm now in the rest and relaxation mode for the rest of the day. I'm going to kick back and enjoy the good life the rest of the day.
