Good day for a walk

We are at 74 degrees with an overcast sky and a hint of a breeze out of the northwest. It was a perfect day to take my walk around the park. I noticed that we still have nothing blooming as a result of the freezes we had in January, but things are starting to show signs of recovery, so maybe the colors will return to the park in the not too distant future.

One of the things I spotted during my walk was the 4 Seasons float that is about ready for the Zapata parade in March. You may remember that 4 Seasons has one the first place trophy the last 3 years and it looks like this years entry will be in contention to win the big prize again. This years theme is 'The Grand Ole Opry" and the float really looks good.

The front of the float.
A look from the side.

The stage area of the float. My understanding is the float will be populated with several country music stars portrayed by people from right here in the park.

The hours of hard work of putting together the float is just one of the ways people here enjoy the good life.
