Week of 1/5/2014

Sunday
I started the first full week of the new year with a bang, or I should say a 'splash'.  I set my Sunny D on the computer table and it immediately decided to jump to the keyboard and then on to the floor. This move rendered the keyboard totally inoperable. New keyboard was ordered to arrive Tuesday.

Monday
Really difficult to compute without a keyboard. I spent the day visiting in the park. I did make a trip to Pep Boys for an oil change. I had a $25.00 coupon for a $23.95 oil change. Final bill was only $504.00 after we found that the valve cover was cracked and the seal and cover were replaced along with new plugs. PaT is running better.

First show of the season in the rec hall on Monday night. Jeff Gordon entertained a small, but enthusiastic crowd.

He provided a wide range of music from Tom Jones to Elvis. click on the link above for a sample of his music.

Tuesday
The new keyboard arrived so I'm back in business. I also ordered a new mouse at the same time, but it came from a different supplier and it took a detour to Austin.

Wednesday
The new mouse arrived today so my order is now complete and the computer is up and running. I spent the evening catching up on email and blogs.

Thursday
After debating for over a month I finally placed an order for a new camera. I'll hold all information and keep you in suspense on this purchase until it arrives and I can show it off.

Friday
Six of us headed for the Riverside Club for a tenderloin fix. There wasn't much activity on the river except for three Border Patrol boats that were cruising back and forth.

Saturday
Today was basketball day with both Missouri and Indiana winning road games. A little playoff football thrown in for good measure filled the day.

Another good week is in the books.

  1. However did you order a new keyboard when your keyboard was fried? Just kidding - but I order a lot online and would really miss not having an operable keyboard. Hate to place orders by phone...

    2. You sure are a big time Amazon guy. You sure got fast service.
I was going to get a new camera and then house repairs stepped in to use the money. Maybe if I had bought a newer RV right from the start I could have sold this rope around my neck and be free. Oh well to late for that now.

    3. I'm a Amazon Prime member which means two day delivery and no shipping charges.
One of the best things I did was sell the house and buy the RV for full timing. No house maintenance meant more money in my pocket to enjoy life.

    1. It slowed me down for a couple of days. When I pushed the space bar I was getting 1 to 10 spaces depending on how long the space bar freed itself from the sticky.

    1. I do the mouse and keyboard on a regular basis. Multi-tasker, eating and computing. I try not to do cracked valve covers though.

  5. I think you need to stock up on a couple of keyboards if you continue to drink around it. I'm glad that I've never had that spill problem (yet). ;c)
