Starting the New Year

Wednesday
Nothing much happened today as I watched the Rose Bowl parade and then a fair number of games and generally started the new year off being lazy.

Thursday
Well today it was time to venture back to Walmart  to restock the larder. Shopping wasn't bad, but I was sure glad I wasn't in the return line. Lots of people lined up and one clerk to take care of them.

After groceries it was back to the park to enjoy the warmer temperatures and sunshine. A fair amount of visiting was enjoyed.

Friday
The dreaded laundry day had arrived again and and the morning was spent doing that dastardly deed. I did have enjoyable company to visit with though as the task was being completed.

Friday afternoon saw the arrival of my next door neighbors, Tommy and Molly. It is always good to see old friends returning.

Friday evening we got to watch Missouri beat Oklahoma State in the Cotton Bowl. It was a good game with two evenly matched teams, but I was happy Missouri prevailed.

Saturday
Today we saw the departure of Jim and Carol  to Mission Bell RV Park. I'm afraid this year we have had more leave than we've had new people arrive.

Another nice day today with the temperature reaching 76 degrees and lots of people were out enjoying the fine weather.

Another week in the books and a word of encouragement to my friends in the north to hang in there, winter will eventually pass.

  1. Is there any particular reason why people are leaving? When we checked out your park, we thought it was lovely.

We don't need to go back to Ohio for cold weather. It is suppose to get down to 20 here in Houston Monday night. Heck we thought we were in a warm state.

  4. Holy cow, that's cold for where you are. Do you get a refund because all that nice weather you paid for is MIA?

  5. So sorry your temps are dropping. We are enjoying our -10 temp here NOT!!!! We have so much snow but with the winds blowing we aren't sure if it is still snowing or not. Lots of drifts. Take care and stay warm.

  6. We are very fortunate to live in the state that we do. The wind was terribly today but at least...no snow! I really do not think I could ever make it up in the northern states...I am too much of a wimp!

    Keep bundled up!
