This morning group around the coffee pot continued our noble work of setting the world straight and I'm happy to report we made some definite progress this morning. I had to leave before our work was done because I have a full day of doing nothing planned and I wanted to get an early jump on it.
Yesterday, with the time I had on my hand I was reflecting on the progress that has been made in my lifetime. Since I was a boy I have seen airplanes go from propellers to jets, I've seen TV go from one snowy channel to hundreds of high definition channels. I saw a man step on the moon and as a result of this we have pocket calculators and computers and the internet. And you know the progress just continues on. One of the most recent leaps forward that will effect all of us is the introduction of tagless underwear. No more carrying around those unsightly tags and think of the weight saved over a lifetime. This is truly one giant step for mankind. Progress marches on.
Ballgame this afternoon and then I will try to get finished doing nothing before the day is over. If I don't make it today, there's always tomorrow.
Doing nothing is a special art reserved for the few superior humans among us mere mortals.
ReplyDeleteIt's something we aren't born with, it's an acquired skill.
DeleteI'm very thankful for guys like you to solve all the world's problems for us and still have time left over for the good life. Congress needs to take lessons from ya'll! :cD
ReplyDeleteAnd we do all this for little or no pay.
DeleteSounds like a good plan...I can learn a lot from you
ReplyDeleteIt becomes a lifestyle.
Deleteyou have entirely too much free time.....
ReplyDeleteNope, just enough.
DeleteTagless underwear?!?! What's next, tagless pillows? That will be so great. I am always looking over my shoulder worrying about being arrested for having removed the tags from pillows under penalty of law.
ReplyDeleteYou just can't stop progress, but if we go tagless pillows what ever will the pillow police do?
DeleteSounds like your group works like our congress!
ReplyDeleteIf you mean, we meet and we do nothing, then you're right.
DeleteI love all this tagless stuff. Tags can pinch an poke, hang out of collars. Progress sometimes it's a wonderful thing.
ReplyDeletePlus that extra weight you don't have to carry around. Those tags add up.
