Empty park

Everyone left out this morning and I assume headed for home, so the park is down to three units. It's okay because I didn't have any plans with the neighbors for today anyway. Last night I missed my chance to see 'professional' wrestling. The resort put on a show last night and for only $25.00 I could have gone and watched grown men throw each other around, I passed. The crowd apparently enjoyed the show, I could here them from here and the event center is two blocks away.

This morning I filled the fresh water tank and dumped the holding tanks. I then stowed the sewer hose and am pretty much ready to go in the morning. A stop at Walmart to replenish the Dr. Pepper and then a short jaunt south before heading north and hopefully some cooler temperatures. We hit 105 here yesterday and this morning it's already 94 so you can bet it's going to be another hot one today.

More inside time while trying to enjoy the good life.

  1. You couldn't buy me a ticket and give me refreshment money to attend that event!!!

  2. We're not into that kind of show either.

Had to finish a job I started on the truck today. By the the end of the four hours my coveralls were dripping wet. The Humidex only reached 108. Glad that's finished now I can Enjoy the Good Life for the rest of the day. Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. Nothing like a little humidity to go along with manual labor.

  3. As a kid, I used to watch Haystacks Calhoon on our tiny black and white screen with my grandmother. She was really into that wrestling stuff. I just practiced the moves on my younger brother. ;) He deserved it!

    1. Gorgeous George was my favorite as a kid. Especially when he went around the ring with an atomizer spraying fresh air into the wring. More like a carnival sideshow than an athletic event.

  4. $25 to watch men wrestling? I'd pass, too. I never did get wrestling, although my nephews were apparently good in high school.

Wow, hot there! It's been sooo nice here. I hope our weather holds for a while. 80's now and I think some days of 70's coming up. Love it. :)

    1. High school and college wrestling is a real sport requiring athletes, profession wrestling requires actors.

Been real hot here. Hope to find cooler temps tomorrow.

  5. I think you should have gone. You probably could have picked some good tips on bear restling.
My grandparents were huge wrestling fans. I remember the name "Bruno San Martino".

  6. I sure would have passed too. Not much for the beating up thing.
I sure do hope you find some cooler temps tomorrow.

  8. Those guys are really good athletes that put on a show. "Real wrestling" it is not but definitely very good athletes. The story lines are really stupid too.
