Weekend mode.

Yesterday I spent the day doing nothing, I didn't quite get finished, so today I am going to finish up. At least that's the plan. We are in the weekend mode and we do have an afternoon ball game so that should occupy a big part of the day. The other part of the day will probably be spent just people watching. One of my favorite things. Yesterday I was treated to new neighbors who were nice enough to put their medium sized dog on a 30 foot leash where he proceeded to bark at any and everything that passed by. No attempt was made to silence or quite the dog. They are out for the day, but it looks like they will be returning later. I can't wait.

Such is life in the RV Park and sometimes you have to overlook things to enjoy the good life.

  1. Just think, John, you could have neighbors like that if you lived anywhere...fortunately they have wheels, and will once again roll away. Or, you could do the same, if so motivated. Enjoy the baseball game...good exercise for you! Going back and forth to the refrigerator during breaks in the game can be very refreshing, or so I've been told.

  2. I will sure miss these neighbors when they depart, they will be dearly departed.
Trips to the refrigerator should be a part of every exercise program.

  3. By chance are you watching IU in the college world series at 8pm eastern? First time a Big10 team has been in the WS since 1984. Game is on ESPN. Your Cardinals amaze me year after year of losing people, bring up rooks and getting the job done. I have to respect that as a Reds fan.

    1. That's called a winning tradition. People in the organization expect to win.

  4. We hate when we have a barking dog next to us. Many times someone else complains to management and it is taken care of. We actually was in one park where they asked the people to leave. They happen to be about two doors down, and we heard that dog all night.

    1. I have no problem with the dogs, it's the owners and I sure you know what I mean.

  5. Yes it is the owners. And it makes me angry. Anything could & sometimes does happen to an unattended dog tethered out all day while the owners are gone. And it's just rude. Yes I have dogs, you'd never find mine tied outside like that though. Plus I always ask to be parked away from everyone in case they bark or sing inside of my rig. I don't want them to be a nuisance. Hopefully tomorrow, you can carry on the weekend tradition of do nothings!

    1. Hopefully these neighbors will move on tomorrow. They also walked the dog through other sites without a sign of a plastic pick up bag. Very rude.

    1. I have friends in Mission that hae little yapper type dogs, but never a peep out of them. It's definitely the owners, not the dogs.

  7. I agree it is the owners not the dogs but for today it was a problem for you and your neighbors...not a good day to enjoy the good life.

Imagine if you had to put up with them all the time...I have four neighbors with darn yappers at Mom's. Then when I go to Houston I have to put up with two barkers (big dogs) and one that comes to poop in my front yard......grrrrrrrr!!!
