Flag day 2013

Mel is proudly flying the colors.

Four packages arrived yesterday and one is out for delivery today. That should complete the restock efforts for awhile. Yesterday I spoke too soon about the fine weather, last night about 8 pm we had a front pass through with 50 mph winds and a half dozen drops of rain, this morning everything is back to normal and calm, I need to keep my mouth shut about the weather. Nothing on the agenda for today other than wait for the UPS man and a ballgame this evening. It should be a good day to enjoy the good life.

  1. We are also flying the flag today. And we also had the 50+ winds last night. Stop talking about the weather - I don't like it. lol

  2. Good lesson learned, John. Just because you have a weather station of your own, doesn't mean you can know what the weather is actually going to be like. Just look at all those weather folks on TV, and how they are often wrong. And they have a lot of high tech help. I'll stick with my weather dog. If she comes in wet, it's raining. If she doesn't want to go outside, it's too hot. If she goes out and doesn't come back in, it's windy. I used to use my weather rock, but it was never very accurate about the wind.

    1. Before I got sophisticated I used a log chain. Same results as the weather rock, with the exception of when it was standing straight out you could bet it was windy.

    1. Exciting stuff. New tubes for light above the sink, ink cartridges for the printer, some batteries and test strips for the glucose tester. How's that for filling a shopping cart?

  4. Talking about the weather is like talking about a no hitter. As soon as the reporter starts talking about how great the pitcher is...wham...home run.
