Kingman day 5

I had a nice walk yesterday, but the museum I was heading for was closed and showed no signs of opening so I took a few pictures and walked the downtown area. Here are the rest of the pictures from the Mohave Museum which I visited on Monday. I'll post yesterdays pictures tomorrow.

Outside they have a large display of rusty stuff, mostly old mining equipment.

This waycar (caboose) was interesting because it was configured to sleep 8. I had only seen sleeping arrangements for 4 previously.

More rusty stuff.

Back inside everyone's favorite, the dentist office.

A really cool juke box.

Above the movie screen is a back lit stagecoach.

A diorama with most of the wildlife found in this area.

Today we shift to the weekend mode and there is nothing scheduled. It's a good day just to enjoy the good life.

  1. That is a wonderful museum. It reminds me of the agriculture museum in Amarillo, Texas. Lots of rusty old stuff but it all has a history.

  2. Great photos - I got a kick out of the man standing there like he has an invisible cast on his arm.

Lots of rusty stuff in those old towns.
