Great news

Great news this morning, Walmart is still accepting money. I made the trip this morning to reload the refrigerator and pantry. Just another step in the preparations for getting under way. Right now I'm thinking Wednesday will be a good day to get moving.

Last night was one of those sleepless in Elephant Butte nights. I hit the sheets about midnight, slept well for a couple of hours and the wide awake with one hundred things racing through my mind. Things like do I go north or west or northwest or maybe southwest. Once all those things started bouncing around then the question of 'what do I want to see this summer' popped up, sort of a bucket list of things to do. I tossed all this around for a couple of hours before returning to dreamland and of course this morning on waking nothing was solved.

After all the work of spending money this morning I plan on taking the rest of the afternoon off while watching baseball on the tube. Enjoying the good life is my primary job.

  1. You are enjoying the good life...there should be no sleepless nights. Flip a coin and enjoy the adventure...easy for me to say.

  2. The good thing about sleepless nights - for us lucky full-timers - is that we can always take a nap in the afternoon. :)

    1. Precisely, sleeping on my own schedule. Who said it had to be at night anyway.

  4. Dang John I did the same thing last night. Finally decided to head back north to Brantley Lake for a couple of days. Hit a golf ball and wash some clothes. Next rolling is maybe Thursday.

    1. Only good thing is that sleeplessness doesn't effect our schedule.

  5. You got a very small taste of what living with insomnia is like.

Glad you got your shopping done bright and early.

  6. That's just about how each of my nights go just before I pull out of a place. It sucks.

    1. You would think we'd be used to moving by now, but I do the same thing. Eager anticipation.

  7. Well, let us know when Walmart is no longer accepting money. We might go on down to see what we can get without it.

  8. Walmart is very kind to us as it never refuses out money.
I threw some at other stores today and they accepted it just fine also.
