More delays

Yesterday morning started with a visit to the office and a chat with some of the fellows. As we were standing talking a Class C motorhome pulled in looking for accommodations  It wasn't long after the driver went inside that Wyn, the office manager, stepped out with this fellow in tow and wanted to introduce us. Seems as though it was fellow blogger Ed Frey who has been reading my blog for awhile and because he mentioned me we each got a $10.00 referral discount. How sweet was that? Having recieved the $10.00 credit I guess I now fall into the category of professional writer. Later, after the Cardinal ball game (which they won) , Ed dropped by and we were chating when Chip showed up with the replacement slide topper canvass. The living room awning was installed with no problem, but the bedroom awning became a problem when it was discovered that the internal spring had broken. A new spring has been ordered, but we are looking at more delays, probably another week.

So today we are back in the hold for parts mode. Yesterday also saw the arrival of my Windows 8 for Dummies package and according to the author "Windows 8 comes with a particularly steep learning curve because it's quite different from earlier Windows versions." His advice was not to upgrade until you have to. Any way I have started my reeducation process and it looks like I've got a ways to go before I'm proficient or even close to it.

Exercising the brain while trying to teach an old dog new tricks is not necessarily a way to enjoy the good life.

  1. Learning curves? I have enough trouble with straight lines... :cO

Hope the spring comes in quickly, always something.

  2. Congratulations on your new professional status, John! Now you will have to have a whole new set of business cards printed up to give out on your travels...but it might be worthwhile if that results in more referrals, eh?

Who knew about bedroom slider springs? Thought the only springs in the bedroom slider were in your bed! Glad your getting that all fixed up.

Watch out that all that there brain excercise doesn't cause your whole head to swell. Might develop some internal pressure build up that could result in hearing problems. I think that's what happened to me...Donna says I'm almost deaf...just because I can't hear stuff as well as I used to...happens to everybody, doesn't it?

    1. I'll plan on taking a blood pressure reading with the cuff around my neck. That should tell the story.

Thanks for acknowledging my new professional status, one good note, the price of this blog will not be increased.

These awnings are really giving you a heap too.
But I'm sure you will find a way to enjoy the good life soon.
