Back in Elephant Butte

We arrived yesterday about 3 pm and got settled in our site. Spent the rest of the day watching Cardinal ball and visiting with friends who dropped by. This morning I woke up to the smell of juniper and pine as a reminder I am back in the hills of New Mexico. Here are some views from Mel's spot. Lots of eye candy and with the pine and juniper nearby, nose candy too.

The morning haze still hadn't burned off the hills.

View to the west.

And another view.

Tomorrow I'll set the wheels in motion for getting the repairs taken care of and in the meantime there is plenty of catching up to do. Of course we'll work in a Cardinal game this afternoon to make sure we enjoy the good life.

  1. I like driving through the hills of NM with the RV windows open.

  2. One of the things I enjoy about central Oregon is the smell of juniper. We don't get that here in Eugene but the fragrance around Bend and Sisters is wonderful. Of course I love the smell of any forest or open land...better than a city any day.
