Back to Walmart

Well, as seems to be the norm any more, Walmart didn't have my medication in stock. Not that it's a rare drug, as a matter of fact, it's very common. So when I finish today's post I'll jump in PaT and head back to the store to retrieve my prescription. I'm sure glad it's just right down the road instead of 50 miles it used to be when I was  staying in Zapata.

With that flurry of activity I will be finished all planned activity for the day other than waiting for the FedEx man who is carrying my new super portable TV on the truck. Of course when it arrives I will have something to explore for at least couple of hours.

I'm still marveling over the tourist who asked Barney, The Old Fat Man if the entire lake Amistad was low are just the part they were looking at. Hello, does gravity still work?

Playing with a new toy is always a fun way to enjoy the good life.

  1. I have found by trial and error especially when I lived in Houston, though I have found it also applies to Del Rio...that Thursday is the best day to go shopping at Wal-Mart.

  2. What...how can one part of the lake be lower than the other? I guess anything is possible.

  5. The lake question reminds me of the time we were visiting Crater Lake and a lady turned to me and asked, "Is this lake man-made?"

    1. Out of the mouths of city folks turned loose in the wilds. When I lived in Colorado I used to enjoy eavesdropping on the tourists concocting explanations for their children of what they were seeing.

  6. Sure it can be lower if it's at an angle and if that someone just happens to be a little drunk.
