Yesterday my friend the UPS driver brought me a package from my friends at Amazon. My previous hummingbird feeder was glass with suction cups that it attached it to my window. Not a very good system when the suction cups let go and the feeder crashes to the patio. Yesterdays arrival replacement is plastic and I have converted my old flag pole to become my new feeder pole.
Bring on the hummers.
The other major event was the departure of this morning of the Cajun Travelers. They have completed their engagements and left this morning. I believe it was five of their rigs that pulled out and they left a pretty good hole across from me.
The word is they are disbanding and won't be back with us next year. A real nice bunch of guys and they will be missed.
Nothing else to report today other than Indiana plays on the tube tonight and a quick trip to Wally World might be needed so that I have enough supplies to enjoy the good life.
Much of our day was lay back also, very rare for us but nice. Enjoy the game. Should be a good one.
ReplyDeleteamazing how busy retired folks are.
DeleteNow Judy can rest her voice while she finds something else to do. And you can enjoy the return of peace and quite, unless you are whistling while you work on the Mel cleaning...
ReplyDeleteJust because the Cajuns left Judy doesn't get off that easily. We have shows scheduled into March.
DeleteWhat? No entertainment at the park to report on. I'm glad you have something to do or you might be trying to entertain the park yourself Of course, that could mean you'd have a job there next year .... or, maybe not.
ReplyDeleteWith my talents any attempt to entertain would probably result in me being banned from the park.
DeleteGood thing it does not take too long to clean our little houses, then you have more time to enjoy the good life.
ReplyDeleteVery true Teri.
DeleteWhen I sing people's ears bleed. Do you have the same problem?
ReplyDeleteI can sure agree, in high school music appreciation they asked me to handle the lighting.
DeleteLike the new bird feeder, nice job!
ReplyDeleteThanks, hope to have hummer pictures to follow.
DeleteHoles in the park should be documented and reported. You did the right thing, John...as usual!
ReplyDeleteI feel it's my duty.
