Reversal

Today we are having a reversal of fortune as the temperature has dropped 25 degrees  and the sun has again vanished. I guess it was to be expected after the disaster yesterday when only one of the four teams I watched was able to pull out a victory. Indiana was the lone winner and the Denver Bronco's were the biggest disappointment of all, losing a game they were heavily favored to win and losing it by their own mistakes.

Today we are at the beginning of another unpleasant weather cycle here in the Valley. The wind is barreling down on us from the north at 20+ miles per hour and we're facing temperature that won't be any higher than the 50's through next Thursday.  Next Saturday is the first hint of a 70 degree day in our forecast, so I guess we get to join the rest of the country in the deep freeze.

I guess for the next week or so I'll have to find a good movies to watch while enjoying the good life.

  1. Strange weather indeed. Reading about the temps in southern AZ, Calif being in the low 30's overnight. I'm currently sitting at 35 degrees and rain that started last night during the Bronco game and never stopped. Rained hard enough to take out the Directv signal more than once during both games.

Did you get any of the Texas "black snow" that one of my other friends talked about?

    1. Could be worse, a few degrees and you'd be slipping and sliding. Keep warm.

  2. Kent and VT won on our end. Big upset with Duke losing. Not happy about the GB game. Hope the texans win today.

Turn the heater on and enjoy the good life.

    1. Cranked up the heat and watching Ohio/Michigan game. A Hoosier is actually rooting for a Buckeye, how can this be.

  3. You sure do have your ups and downs, don't you, John? Talk about extremes! I was watching the end of that Broncos game and I fell asleep in my recliner at the start of the first OT. Woke up to the Post Game Show with the Baltimore players celebrating in their locker room. That was a big disappointment, even though I do enjoy watching Flacco and I did get to see what they are now calling "the Flacco Fling". Had to read about the end of the game, so guess I didn't really miss much. Didn't see the 49'rs beat GB. Could be a pretty good football season next year in the NFL.

    1. At the end of the game you missed some poor defense on the part of the Bronco's. I guess it's time to say wait until next year.

  4. Thankfully, the jet stream is keeping your cold weather from reaching me in SE Georgia. :)

  5. 79 sunny degrees with no humidity here in SC. And to think I was bumming this winter because we didn't go to the Southwest.
