Whatever to do.

We have arrived at Monday with nothing on the schedule and no sign of any activity. None of my teams are scheduled to play ball today so it looks like a computer type day. I am beginning a list of attractions here in the area I want to visit this season and the Winter Texan newspaper has provided a list of 12 things you don't want to miss while in the Valley. Maybe today I'll do a little research and see how much I really don't want to miss these attractions. The first item listed of the 12 is the Los Ebanos ferry which is a hand operated ferry across the Rio Grande and in my mind, makes the whole list suspect.

Is this really an attraction?

I will check out the other 11 'attractions' on the list and see if there is anything that really trips my trigger for a road trip. Other than that it looks like today will not overwork me while enjoying the good life.

  1. No worries, you can always watch the cacti grow...that should keep you entertained for weeks!

  2. Unfortunately there probably not too much grass to watch grow while Enjoying the Good Life.

The fog here is just starting to lift now. Try watching that!

    It's about time.

  3. Give me a clue why you would want to go to the other side of the Rio Grande.....

    1. My thoughts too, but the attraction is that it's a hand pulled ferry to nowhere.

  4. I started my new schedule today and have Mon, Tues, Wed off - so except for playing around with the computer and various antennas, I plan on doing NOTHING, also.

    1. Sounds like a workable schedule. You don't want to overdo.

    2. We went to see the ferry but didn't ride it. We saw no reason to do that.

    3. I just found it funny that they listed it as the #1 attraction in the Valley.

  5. The #1 attraction in the RGV for me would be a great seafood restaurant. There certainly is not any in Rockport.

  6. You could schedule looking into the other 11 attractions...one each day. That would keep you busy for a week an a half.
