Road trip

This morning I decided to make the trip to my old stomping grounds at 4 Seasons in Zapata. Management has been replaced and the comeback has begun, but previous management did such a bad job it will probably take a couple of years before the park is back on its feet.Today was the day for their monthly flea market  so it was a good opportunity to see lots of folks in one place. Lots of hugs and handshakes all around and some really nice visiting. The shocker was when I checked out the lake level. Two pictures illustrate this.

This is the lake level November 16th 2010.

This is the lake level today.

After visiting it was time to head back to Mission to watch the days slate of football. One thing for absolute certain is seeing old friends is always a way to enjoy the good life.

  1. Hope you didn't get any bugs on the car. Use the Solution, just in case. That will give you something to do between games today.

    1. I tried to zig zag around the bugs, but they were intent on doing themselves in.

  2. I cannot believe how low that water is. I know it has been dry, but boy do those pictures bring it to life. So sad.

    1. No the illegals aren't even required to learn how to swim before coming over.

  4. I noticed the lakes up North are very low also. And we had plenty snow and rain this past winter and spring. Maybe another good winter and spring will bring them back.
