On hold

This morning I'm on  hold, waiting for the RV repairman to show up. I received a recall notice from Jayco in last weeks mail advising that there was a potential problem with the transfer switch that needed to be repaired. I spoke with Jayco about having the problem taken care of here in the park by Revel, who is a certified RVIA RV technician and they agreed. The part arrived yesterday and Revel stopped by to let me know I was second on the list for today. I saw him leave the park at 7:30 for his first appointment so I'm next up.

Under the bed is where Revel will be working. An interesting concept is that this area is covered by a piece of plywood. Attached to the plywood is a prop to support the bed in a raised position. It's not very effective when the plywood is removed to work on the electronics and it's real hard to work with one hand while holding the bed up with the other. Another interesting feature is all those wires go to the circuit breaker panel which is mounted at the end of the bed. It works fine until the bed is slid in and the it disappears.

Knowing that a potential electrical problem is solved will certainly add to my enjoying the good life.

  1. I am sure those repairmen just love working in those tight quarters.

    1. He told me he's never known any other way. He did have trouble getting comfortable though.

  2. Electrical problems would worry me. Glad that's one less for you to have to think about. Nice that he could do his twist and turn dance there at the park for you.

  3. Nice have that Jayco agreed to the mobile RV tech. Your car dealer could learn real customer sevice from Jayco.

Glad it's fixed and there is no zapping danger.

  5. Could have been a hotbed of trouble had it sparked an electrical fire.

    1. Revel, the RV Tech isn't from this part of the country and he runs his business right.
