Music day

Today the winter Texan activities officially began with the parks first jam session. Folks began arriving at eleven this morning for the 1 PM get together. Apparently the frustrated musicians were anxious to get their feet to tapping after a six month layoff and it looks like they had a good turnout. This jam session is open to folks from other parks and does attract a crowd large enough to require parking attendants.

Last night I worked after dark setting the spot light in the flag, but it wasn't successful as I hoped. Setting the light into the ground while it's on has a tendency to blind one so that the results of the aiming operation aren't readily visible. I have worked on it today, but now I'm going to have to wait until dark to see the results. One thing for sure, I'm now another couple of quarts low.

Tonight I get to watch the Indiana Hoosiers play for the championship of the Legends Tournament. The Hoosiers are currently ranked #1 in the country and haven't lost a game yet.

Now it's time to replenish fluids while enjoying the good life.

  2. We were at an Escapees park in Knoxville, TN, that had jam sessions. They packed them in also, and there were some super players!

    1. We get a mixture, some professional quality and others who chase the stray cats out of the park. Both are useful.
