Bath day

A pleasant surprise for this part of the country, David the power wash guy actually showed up when he said he would and began giving Mel a bath.

He started on the roof and had worked his way down to this point when they announced a water line break in the park that shut the water off for about a half hour. We were able to have a nice visit while waiting for the water to return. Dave is the sort of fellow one has to admire. Not only does he work a full week at Home Depot he does all sorts of additional handyman work to support his family and give them just a bit extra.

This afternoon I will be able to sit and watch Mel dry, which isn't as intense as watching paint dry, but it will require my full attention. Just part of enjoying the good life.

  4. I saw the price on your answer to Teri. Great deal. Paul always does ours. But I remember when we were in Yuma our first year, they were charging $250/MH and the people were lined up. I thought that was crazy!

    1. It is a good price. When I'm on the road I use Blue Beacon Truck Washes. $30.00 for a 30 foot motorhome and the I have the Rainex sprayed on over the entire unit for another $10.00.

  5. Don't get distracted by any grass that might be growing within eye shot. Mel won't dry properly without being watched. You know the old saying, how anything that's measured, or observed will be better.

    1. The hard part was watching so intently tat no streaks were allowed to form. I did a good job, because no streaks appeared.
