Attack mode

This morning I had finally had my fill of failed promises and headed off to Motor City. This is a follow up to Javi calling on Thursday and telling me he had a couple of errands to run and then he would be right over to bring me the keyless entry remote. Four days without calling to let me know what's going on is just plain rude  and is no way to run any business. His facial expression was one of terror when I hit the door. I not sure if he thought I was there to shoot first and ask questions later or what was going on. After his chin bounced off the floor I told him that the whole problem had gone south and I was unable to lock or unlock the doors at all and something needed to be done right then and there. Bottom line is the owner decided that locks weren't covered under the 3 month/3,000 mile warranty and they weren't going to take care of it. This after pretending that they were. They did say they would go on and have the keyless entry remote programmed at their expense and we'll sit back and see when that happens. This is all being documented and at the end of the 3 months a complete report will be sent to the Attorney Generals office and the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles and the BBB will get copies. At least now when I stop I can lock the doors and they now know that I can show up at their door at any time.

The rest of today which is mostly shot will be spent going over the mail that arrived and getting my head back in line for enjoying the good life.

  1. Good for you! Why they thought you would just lie down and roll over is beyond me. We are so glad that you took matters in your own hands. I wonder how many times they did this to other people.
I think you should contact the Attorney General's office and whatever other measures need to be taken...go for it!

    2. You have a lot more patience than I do. I am afraid in in this story I would have gone "bobby knight" on them.

    1. The Irish temper is slow to boil, but is to be feared when it erupts.

  4. You have been so much more patient than I would have been. I'm glad you let them have a piece of your mind and you definitely need to get in touch with the Attorney General. This has been ridiculous. Hope you've been able to get your blood pressure down.

    1. My years in business have served me well in allowing people enough rope to hang themselves. I'll wait until the 3 months is up and then forward the whole package to the AG.

  7. Good for you John, these guys are typical used car dealers. Just sell the crap and get the money. Empty promises just like a politician.

Now enjoy the evening you earned it.
