Waiting

I talked to the salesman this morning at 10:30 and he said the car had been returned from the shop and had been road tested and he would be bringing it to me in an hour or hour and a half.  It is now 3:30 and there is no sign of the car yet. Luckily there is plenty of football to watch on the tube and I wasn't going anyplace anyway.

I had an interesting phone call yesterday when my doctors office called to remind me of my appointment Monday. Interesting, because I had no idea I had appointment. When I was last in the doctors office I told the doctor I would be back in the area about the middle of October and would make an appointment when I returned. Based on that I guess he set an appointment, but it would have been interesting if I had returned later.

Well back to the games and peering out the window waiting for the Cruiser to arrive. I guess waiting is part of enjoying the good life, too.

  1. Why can't people be just a bit more considerate. A simple phone call to you just saying they will be later than they first thought would be nice. AND if they found something else wrong with the car, a simple phone call would work there too.

WOW...good thing you are in Mission for your appointment on Monday. I never heard of a doctor's office just making an appointment and then telling you about it. Strange.

    1. One thing I have noticed in coming to this part of the country for the last 5 years is no one seems to be too concerned about punctuality. It's not uncommon for a ten o'clock appointment to show up a two pm and manana is not uncommon.

As for the doctor, I guess he wanted to insure my future business. LOL

  2. Think of it this way, John. You're having an opportunity to develop patience, and patience is a virtue. Now you will be more virtuous than you were before. Isn't that great?

    1. Ok, we got that patience thing worked on for today, time for something else. If they don't hurry temperance will be the next virtue worked on, cause this could drive me to drink.

    1. I would if he had showed up. I'll really have something to tell him tomorrow.

    1. Patience gone, still no car, salesman not answering calls. The dealership has lost my respect.

  6. Yikes! Still no car? Double Yikes! No car to get to the doctor's appointment.

How'd the good life take a wrong turn so fast?

    1. Even the good life has bumps in the road. The next one might be when I run over the salesman.
