My day
My day started with a smile knowing the Cardinals had won their playoff game yesterday and were moving on. I was also comforted to know that I was only a day older and not a year as some folks suggest. I also got a call this morning from my cousin Nancy, who lives just down the road, inviting e to lunch. It's been several years since I've seen her so this should be an enjoyable time. Other than that the only other plan for the rest of the day is a lack of a plan. A lack of a plan is sometimes the best way to enjoy the good life.
It's good to have a plan to have no plan. Planning to not plan is the best path. Being older and retired is weird, isn't it, John? We used to watch the clock fly by, but now we watch the calendar fly by!
ReplyDeleteTo plan or not to plan, that is the question.
DeleteOnly a day older...I like that!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot easier to accept, don't you think?
DeleteYou don't owe your soul to the company store, do you?
ReplyDeleteI sure hope not.
DeleteYou have had a big day and it has barely began. Hope you don't get to tuckered out before some of the football games come on.
ReplyDeleteI managed to sneak in a nap between games. Good to go.
DeleteHappy birthday big brother.
ReplyDeleteThank you and thanks for the call.
DeleteLunch sounds like a reunion of its own. Have fun.
