More progress

I took PaT back to the dealer this morning and showed them the problem with the door locks and they stepped right up. Rather than tear the door apart and fix the internal workings they just called Chrysler and ordered a new remote entry controller. All things considered I would rather have this than the door fixed. I should have probably gotten this with the car in the first place, but the previous owner didn't turn it in. One thing I found out is that Chrysler thinks pretty highly of this little+  gadget as they are charging the dealer $189.00 for the fob and programming for this little part. At least the dealer stepped up and did the right thing.

Today is going to be a do not much day. Of course, I've already driven 60 miles to the dealer and back. While I was there they also had my title ready to send out and just handed it to me, so I can spend part of the day assembling the paperwork to send to South Dakota for tags. I also went on line and purchased insurance. I briefly thought of insuring in Texas, but found out the policy would be $600.00 vs. $147.00 in South Dakota. That sort of influenced my decision.

Time to get the paper work out of the way, so I can get on with enjoying the good life.

    1. You need to have Paul work a little bit harder on that modification at the front of your 5er, you know, something to pull it with.

  2. Finally getting all the bugs out of the car. You'd think you were debugging a new RV.

    1. Sounds like it doesn't it.You would think a 7 year old car would have most everything worked out by now.

  3. Whee! That was easy. Well, it was a lot easier than buying the car in the first place.
